There are three important steps that take place after your consultation:
After your consultation, the report is finalised by the Health Professional using criteria defined by the DWP. We then send the report to the DWP so that they can make a decision on your benefit.
The report is one piece of evidence used by the DWP when deciding on your level of entitlement to PIP. The Health Professional who completed your consultation does not make any decision about your claim or duration of awards.
If you have any questions or concerns about the outcome of your claim you should contact the DWP on 0345 850 3322 or textphone 0345 601 6677. Any further information about the outcome of your claim, or right to request reconsideration or to appeal the decision, will be communicated to you by the DWP in writing or telephone.
We are unable to provide you with a copy of the report but you may request one from DWP on 0345 850 3322 or textphone 0345 601 6677. They will also be able to advise you of the process to follow if you disagree with their decision.
Our aim is to treat you fairly, with respect and with dignity (as outlined in our Customer Charter (open in new window) ) so that your experience with us is a good one.
If you have a suggestion, further enquiry or wish to provide us with feedback or make a complaint about our service please email: [email protected]
Making a complaint or suggesting an improvement will not affect your claim.
We would also like you to tell us how useful you have found this website, using the Feedback Form page.
