Workplace Mediation

During 2007/8, 190,000 employment tribunals took place in the UK,1 many of which could have been resolved with far more cost-effective Workplace Mediation.

Workplace Mediation provides a formal channel to resolve disputes, to the satisfaction of all parties, without imposing an overbearing strain on an organisation's financial resources.

Our objective is always to reach a 'win-win' resolution. We provide qualified and completely independent mediators who arbitrate fair and equitable solutions. We are experienced at mediating a wide variety of disputes, including issues between and within:

  • Employees or groups of employees
  • Project teams, their managers and contractors
  • Employees and employers.

We offer workplace mediators across the UK and can respond quickly to mediation requests. Our mediators have a minimum of 10 years' experience working in an allied profession such as Workplace Counselling or HR. They are highly skilled at determining how best to bring disputes to a resolution, are accredited to European standards, have full supervision support and receive ongoing professional development.

How it works

Our mediators meet with each individual to confidentially discuss issues and assess if a conflict is suitable for mediation. We facilitate safe and respectful discussion to explore whether a settlement or resolution is possible. We do not impose a solution – we seek to encourage resolution for the parties involved.

The key to problem resolution is to give conflicting parties the opportunity to openly express what they believe will solve the problem, and then enter into a mediation process that leads to a resolution.

The aim throughout is to deliver a settlement where all parties are sufficiently satisfied and can move on with improved working relationships, leading to a better business environment.
