Atos Healthcare specialises in working at the leading edge of government healthcare policy initiatives and then driving them through to achieve and sustain practical results.
Our people are drawn from a range of operational backgrounds and the public and private healthcare sectors, to deliver solutions to trusts, strategic health authorities and the Department of Health.
Since January 2008, as part our GP Practices Service, we have been working with Tower Hamlets managing and running the St Paul’s Way Medical Centre. Our patient-focused approach addresses health inequalities and long-term illness management in the context of providing relevant local services.
We offer core and extended GP and nurse services for scheduled appointments and urgent or unplanned care for registered patients. We're open 12 hours a day Monday to Friday, and from 9 to 5 on a Saturday.
We have also contracted to keep the practice list open to accommodate growth from 11,000 to 15,000 patients – more than any other practice in Tower Hamlets.
We take a thoroughly inclusive approach to everyone who has a stake in the success of the practice. Local PCT management were involved in transition meetings and practice staff restructuring was fair and equitable, based on recruiting qualified staff who know all about the area and local health conditions.
We re-established Patient Participant Group meetings, instituted patient satisfaction surveys, and engaged with local housing and community groups.
Our approach provides healthcare that is relevant and sensitive to local needs, in very demanding circumstances, delivered to the highest quality.
