Our Occupational Health Training courses help leaders and managers to acquire the knowledge and skills needed for better management of employee health and sickness absence. The courses cover:
- Managing Attendance for Managers: Information about how the health of employees is reflected in their attendance at work
- Disability Discrimination Act (1995, 2005) and its relevance to work: Understanding the significance of the Act in the management of sickness absence
- Occupational Health Awareness ‘How to make a good referral': A one- hour discussion which explores how Occupational Health adds value to the manager’s role in the management of sickness absence.
We also offer courses applicable to all employees at every level of an organisation:
- Health and High Performance: The impact of stress on the human body and stress reduction strategies
- Back Care: Best practice guidance, from understanding ergonomics to physical exercises
- Trauma and Stress training: A variety of courses delivered by our Employee Assistance team.
And we can provide flexible First Aid Training courses, which are usually held at a customer location:
- Core First Aid at Work Training: Successful attendees receive a St. John Ambulance First Aid at Work Certificate, valid for three years
- First Aid Re-qualification Training: To refresh and practice skills learned during a First Aid at Work course and achieve the same certificate as above
- First Aid at Work Trainer and Assessor Training: This is a residential first aid course where students are taught how to present the St. John Ambulance First Aid at Work Teaching Package and candidates work towards the City and Guilds 7303 qualification in teaching.
